OPC Server Connectivity
The Desigo CC OPC server allows enterprise systems and other management stations to access any integrated subsystem data, by using a third-party OPC client.
OLE for Process Control (OPC) is a set of specifications that enables the exchange of data between multi-vendor devices and control applications. Desigo CC supports the OPC Data Access (OPC DA) interface.
In OPC DA, data sources are represented within the server by OPC items. Third-party OPC clients can use an OPC server to get data from or send commands to the automation subsystems. For details, see Third-party OPC Client.
