Configure Central Room Functions

Loading Data to the Central Function Editor
  • The Central Function Editor is enabled in its user group rights.
  • Desigo Automation data is imported.
  • The online connection is established.
  • System Manager is in Engineering mode.
  1. In System Browser, select Application View.
  1. Select Applications > Logics > Central Functions > [Hierarchy name] > [Hierarchy 1 ‒ Hierarchy n] > [Central function].
  1. Select the Central Function Editor tab.
  1. Do the following:
  • Load only the currently selected category
    Click Load/update present category .
  • Load all categories
    Click Load/refresh all categories .
  1. Change or remove the group assignment.

NOTE:
Data is uploaded from the Desigo automation stations and displayed. This takes minutes, depending of your project size.

 

Assigning Group Members
NOTICE
Loss of Data during Download with ABT Site:

Edited group assignments are reset to the state of the last engineering data when downloading from ABT Site. Changes made by the management platform are lost and can no longer be restored.

  1. Present project data must first be imported back to ABT Site.
  1. Only then can the engineering data be re-downloaded with ABT Site.
  • Desigo Automation data is uploaded.
  1. (Optional) From the Management of Central Functions drop-down list, select the desired category in the Group Categories drop-down list.
  1. In the field Central Function with Assigned Member, select the group master.
  1. Select one or more group members in the field Unassigned Members and click or assign it with drag-and-drop.
  • The group member is assigned to the group master.
    NOTE: They must be located on the same device if using local group masters and group members.
  1. Repeat the process for all group members for this group master.
  1. Click Save .
  • The defined configuration is saved on the Desigo automation station.
Information

NOTE:
Using the filter function to reduce the amount of unassigned group members for example 114 for the group member of room number 114.

 

Removing Group Member Assignments
  • Desigo Automation data is uploaded.
  1. Select the desired category in the Management of Central Functions expander, from the Group Categories drop-down list.
  • Group master and group members are listed as per the selected category.
  1. In the field Central Function with Assigned Member, select the group master.
  1. Select one or more Group Members and click or remove assignment with drag-and-drop.
  • Group member is no longer assigned to the group master.
  1. Click Save .
  • The edited configuration is saved on the Desigo automation station.
Information

NOTE 1:
Unassigned members are automatically set to Out of Service.
NOTE 2:
Incorrectly configured group masters and/or group members are displayed in the Configuration Error expander. Please use the engineering tool and re-engineer the application program.
